This educational program will act as an introduction to the major topics and concepts of Pediatric Neuro-Oncology.  It will serve as a great beginning to the subsequent ISPNO meeting by acting as an introduction, overview and/or review for those practitioners and ancillary staff who work with pediatric brain tumor patients.  The session will cover the major types of pediatric brain tumors including their epidemiology, presentation, imaging, pathology, diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes.  It will also include targeted information on Neuro-Radiology, Neuro-Pathology, Radiation-Oncology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Late Effects.

Target Audience:

The target audience will include all medical personnel who interact with pediatric brain tumor patients or who have a desire to do so in the future.  This includes (but is not restricted to) Pediatric Oncologists, Neurologists, Endocrinologist, Neurosurgeons, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Social Workers,  CRA's, Neuro-Oncology Fellows, Hematology/Oncology Fellows, Pediatric Residents, and Medical Students.  This session will also greatly benefit those basic scientists who would like a better understanding of clinical Pediatric Neuro-Oncology.
